Step :- 1 Preparation of Loam of clay :-

Preparation of Loam of Clay or Soil is the First and most important step in the construction of cricket pitches. According to curators , The ideal Loam of Clay is made by the proportional Mixture of three essential materials which are sand, Slit, & Clay. The Correct proportion is 40-40-20 Respectively. After the preparation of soil or loam of clay , the curators dig the Soil out Around 10 inches deep from the most protected, and Middle side of the Cricket ground for better drainage and leave that for some days open to dry out.
